Welcome Back!

Welcome Students and Families!

I am very excited to begin the year and I know that there is a great learning journey ahead!

This year we will be focusing on literacy and math skills every day, as well as project based learning.

For our project based learning, we will be focusing on these key projects:

- Building a restaurant (skills, bills, cooking literacy)
- Building a website
- Writing our own stories
- Building a store (business literacy, math skills, money skills)
- Volunteering units (making hats and scarves for the community, making hygiene boxes, fundraising for animals)
- Real world bills unit (looking at bills, online banking, cheques, choosing a profession and looking at wages)
- Animal unit

Important dates coming up:

August 29th - Half day for students and Meet the Teacher from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
August 30th - No school for students
